Council Passes Independent Police Review Board Ordinance

In April of 2021 County Council passed legislation to create an Independent Police Review Board (IPRB). The goal of this board is to allow civilian oversight over police conduct. The board is open for other municipalities to opt their police departments in. Councilwoman Bennett was a co-sponsor of this legislation.
